In response to the severe warning of a dangerous fire season ahead, Tanks West has made available a Fire Ready Tank with special fittings that make it easy to hook-up and use for fire protection.

A 7,500 gallon (34,000 litre) FRP Water Storage Tank fitted with the following fire fittings:

>        A fireproof stainless steel Level Gauge enables you to monitor the water level at all times

>        2” (50mm) Aluminium Camlock allowing a high pressure suction hose line to be hooked in for fire fighting purposes

>        2" (50mm) Brass Outlet & Gate Valve prevents fittings failing under extreme heat

>        2" (50mm) Inlet with Dust Cap to prevent soot and ash

Normally these special fittings are an extra cost, but for a limited time they are included in the normal price of $4,180 (inc GST).

700KMS FROM PERTH

The tank will be delivered free to your property within 700kms from Perth and the fittings will be installed on-site by our professionally trained fitters.  Your tank can be used for normal everyday usage but if it is needed for a fire emergency it is set-up and ready to go.

Fibreglass tanks have good heat resistance and will withstand low-grade grass and brushfires, they may suffer some blackening and blistering of the gel coat but this is generally aesthetic and does not damage the structure of the tank.  Tanks West does not guarantee their tanks will survive every fire situation but there is evidence and because of their heat resistance they stand a better chance than other types of materials.

To provide water in an emergency situation the location is important, there is no point in having the fire storage tank if it is not in a position easily accessible to vehicles or surrounded by bush which is going to ignite and restrict access to the tank.   Should you require a pump or transport tank call our technical staff for assistance.
